Defiance 2.05 (SPOILERS!)

nietieIn episode 5 we learn more about Niles Pottinger's scheming.
Amanda asks Niles if he experiences side effects from the drug adreno.
Niles assures her that there was nothing wrong with the batch they used and tells her she needs protection.
Amanda gets more hallucinations and shoots Tommy and Irisa (they both survive!).
Niles and Nolan go searching for Amanda.
Nolan accuses Niles of making her a junkie to get her "into the sack".
But then Niles starts hallucinating too. He sees Connor, Amanda's dead fiance.
Connor says that Niles is trying to get to Amanda so he'll be Connor. Connor talks about the day the Votans came.
Niles has flashbacks about Indogenes examining him.
Then Connor says that Niles was just born wrong and that he had followed Connor to New York because
he was obessed with him. He calls him a sick pervert who deserves to die.
Niles starts crying.
Whilst taking drugs Amanda was implanted with an ego device by Niles and Doc Yewll. Egos were
used for military purposes to provide intel.
Niles and Doc Yewll had himself injected with the implant too and Doc Yewll removes Niles'.
They now have Amanda's memories, even though her implant was damaged and had infected
theirs too, producing hallucinations.
Oooooh, the plot thickens. Niles Pottinger's character is fascinating!

The singlet scene was very close-up, so that's all we saw of it. :(
