Author Notes: a birthday drabble for [livejournal.com profile] cordeliadelayne   Happy Birthday! *hugs*

Days became weeks, weeks became months.

It almost sounded like a rhyme.

"Abby and Connor were stuck up a tree….'

To get through their daily struggle to survive, they used their imagination, like kids playing in a forest.

Their refugee tree was the Major Oak tree in Sherwood Forest, used by Robin Hood as a hideout.

On the tree over the small stream they reenacted the fight between Robin and Little John.

But the enemy was not the Sheriff of Nottingham, but predators, lurking in the shadows at all times.

Hopefully the Merry Men would come to the rescue soon.

Cute!
Keeping a sense of fun in a situation like that would be very important.

Aw. This is very sweet and a little bit sad as they escape into their imagination. At least they have each other.
