Helen felt sick.

She relived the moment she had pulled the trigger.

She had shut out all emotions.

She had squeezed the cold metal.

And then there was no way back.

The bullet had hit the man in the chest.

She ran.

When she was safe, on  the other side of the anomaly, she had allowed herself to show her emotions.

To cry.

To shout.

To grieve.

Five minutes of total despair.

Then she pulled herself together.

She had done the right thing.

Her husband had to die.

For a greater cause.

Because she had to save this beautiful planet.
