“Cold feet?” Ryan pulled Stephen closer.

“Mwah, a little,” Stephen admitted. “How about you?”

“Uhm, yes, actually. I hate first times.”

“We don’t  have to do this.”

“We better get it over with. We’ll laugh about it later.”

Stephen’s blue eyes were filled with fear.

Ryan took his hand in comfort.

“It’s going to be all right. It won’t hurt, I promise.”

“Are you sure?”

“Well, maybe a bit in the beginning. But we can stop anytime you want.”

“Okay, let’s do it.”

They held each other walking into the restaurant as a couple, to the ARC’s annual dinner party.
