He wanted  to resist her.

But he was alone. He had no one now.

His work at the ARC was over.

His life was over.

Nick had pushed him away. Literally.

He felt the bruise on his cheek.

Helen knelt in front of him and stroked his cheek softly.

“My poor Stephen.”

“Helen.”  He tried to resist. He had to!

She looked into his eyes.

“You and I matter now,” she whispered. “What we are going to achieve together.”

He wanted to resist her.

He tried to resist her.

Her beautiful brown eyes were mesmerising.

And then they kissed passionately.
