“You and Connor are rather close, aren’t you?”
The question was asked by one of the other soldiers. Becker was alone with the man after a debriefing.
He didn’t answer.
“Is it bromance or is it Brokeback?”
“It is none of your business,” Becker hissed, cornering the man and looking at him threateningly.
“Okay! Don’t get your knickers in a twist! Just asking!”
Becker was about to leave the room.
“I just wish you all the best. With Connor or otherwise. Honest.”
Becker turned around.
“Cheers.” He walked away.
“Don’t forget it’s almost Valentine’s Day! He might expect some romance!”
Valentine’s day. As if he didn’t know!
He was not a very romantic bloke.
Connor shouldn’t expect candlelight suppers. That was so Hyacinth ‘Bouquet’.
Walking through the corridor, he was suddenly yanked into a lab.
He almost punched the person.
Connor!
He felt warm, wet lips on his.
“Do you have any plans for Sunday?” Becker asked after a while.
“No. Why?”
“Woo, Valentine’s Day! I didn’t know you were such a romantic. I love it! Brilliant!”
