Nick and Stephen hoped that with the ARC's menagerie their children wouldn't feel the urge to have pets at home.

They helped Abby on a regular basis, each at his own ability. Feeding the exotic animals, petting and grooming them, mucking out the stables.

Nick and Stephen weren't afraid the boys would give away the ARC's secret, because every kid or adult would think it was a figment of their imagination.

Then quietly a small menagerie arose at the Cutter/Hart residence.

A rat, a hamster, even a cheeky raccoon.

But Nick had to put a halt to an anteater.
