“It’s about time we trust each other,” Lucas said to Stephen .

“Look who’s talking!” Stephen sneered. “You’re MI5. You’re trained to mistrust everybody, at  all times.”

“Yes, and I’m aware you’re traumatised after Helen Cutter betrayed you like that.”

“Not just Helen Cutter. Nick Cutter seemed to care about me, but thought the world and his theories were more important than listening to a friend.”

“Come, come, don’t be so bitter…. What can I do to cheer you up?”

“Trust me. Completely.”

“Okay, we’ll have it your way.”Lucas grinned. “Tie me to the bed and do whatever you want.”
