“I’m so happy you’re safe!” Jess threw herself into Becker’s arms.
“Ouch,” was all he could say.
“Well, okay, safe, but not sound. I was very worried about you.”
“I can look after myself, thank you,” Becker smirked.
“No, you can’t. You’ve been hurt three times since I work here. I better make a plan to keep you safe.”
“My job is to keep YOU safe.”
“I can look after myself, thank you,” Jess countered.
She turned and tripped over her own feet.
Becker managed to grab her just in time.
“I can see that!” he said and they grinned.
