Title: I Told You So
Word Count: 100
Rating: G
Genre: gen
Challenge: monthly challenge at primeval_denial, although I didn't manage the minimum of 500 words
Characters: Connor, Tom, Duncan
Disclaimer: Not mine, no money made. Primeval and its characters belong to Impossible Pictures
Author Notes: a drabble, inspired my the February prompt “Nobody who says, ‘I told you so’ has ever been, or will ever be, a hero.” - Ursula K Le Guin.
Set in S01E04.
"
Just how stupid do you think we are, Conn? Space-time anomalies? Dinosaurs? It sounds like someone's been overdoing the Playstation."
"I can prove it. Only I'm not allowed. But one day I can say" I told you so.".
Tom and Duncan thought their friend had lost it.
…
"Now you can say "I told you so", Tom said, dying in Connor's arms. "The aliens tried to take me over. But I fought them."
"You did a really good job."
"Am I a hero?"
"Definitely, Tom."
"You are too, Conn, despite saying "I told you so." Save the world."
"I promise."

Well done.
